Master System Version

Level select

Hold Down and press 2 when the face appears on the title screen. Use the D-pad to select a new starting level. Alternatively, hold Down and press 1 when the word "Shinobi" completely appears on the title screen.

Sound test

Press Up + Start at the title screen.

PC-Engine Version

Invincibility

Press II, I two times, II at the title screen.

Sound test

Hold Select at the title screen until the sound test screen appears.

Level select

Hold Select after the "Mission Summary" screen. Then, press one of the following controller combinations when the screen turns black.
